The formula behind our fuel surcharge:
We introduced the fuel surcharge in 2005 when the price for fuel was £0.77p a litre (excluding VAT). Each 1p movement up or down from the monthly AA fuel report results in a shift of 0.25%. Only shifts of 0.25% are implemented, where there is a shift of less than 0.25% the fuel surcharge remains unchanged.
