At Goldstar, we take pride in recognising and celebrating the dedication of our long-serving employees. Our annual Service Awards Ceremony, held every April, is a special occasion to honour those who have reached significant milestones with the company.

If you have completed 5, 10, 15, or 20 years of service by the time of the ceremony, we mark your achievement with a commemorative badge and a small gift as a token of our appreciation for your commitment and hard work.

DRIVERS

Ashley joined Goldstar in 2014 as a Van Driver and has progressed to become an HGV Class 1 Driver through Goldstar’s internal training opportunities.

During his time with the company, Ashley has also completed his ADR qualification, helping him to further develop his skills and career. He enjoys the variety of the role, with routes and delivery locations changing week by week. Ashley values Goldstar’s supportive culture, describing colleagues at all levels as approachable and feeling listened to whenever he raises an issue.

ACCOUNTS TEAM

ACCOUNTS TEAM

Gemma joined Goldstar in 2017 as an Accounts Assistant and has grown with the business, becoming Financial Controller in March 2024.

Since joining Goldstar, Gemma has completed her AAT qualification and is now studying towards CIMA, with the company supporting her development through funded training. She enjoys management accounting and works closely with the directors on budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, performance analysis, and leading the finance team. Gemma’s journey at Goldstar reflects the opportunities the business offers for development, progression, and long-term career growth.

CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM

Tania joined Goldstar in 2022 as an Operations Support team member and has since progressed to Customer Service Supervisor, reflecting Goldstar’s commitment to developing its people.

In her role, Tania manages the customer service team and works closely with operations to ensure jobs run smoothly. She enjoys building strong relationships with customers, including visiting them on site, and has developed skills in confidence, teamwork, and attention to detail, along with a strong understanding of transport systems and the wider haulage industry.

Tania encourages new team members to not be afraid to ask questions, something she credits as key to her own development at Goldstar.

APPRENTICESHIPS

APPRENTICESHIPS

James joined Goldstar in September 2023 as a Business Support Agent and is completing a degree apprenticeship in Business Management alongside his role. He joined the company through a rotational program designed to provide hands-on experience across all key departments.

In his role, James provides day-to-day IT support across the organisation, carries out data analysis, and develops time-saving solutions that improve business processes using Goldstar’s IT systems. He enjoys the variety of his work, getting involved in multiple projects, learning new skills, and taking on increasing responsibility.

James values the opportunity to develop his skills while building a long-term career at Goldstar, supported by hands-on experience alongside his apprenticeship.
